Lucas Van Eeghen’s work
A new project based on freedom of expression, high museum standard, the ability to combine authority, professionalism and independence: these are the foundations for facing the challenges of the future.
The attention to the needs of the markets, Arteconomy as a criterion for development, a network of international relations and continuous relationships with collectors and art dealers, unparalleled media communication … this and much more is the Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma.
The headquarters of the Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma 2021 is the historic Palazzo Borghese in Rome, inside the elegant spaces of the Galleria del Cembalo, with frescoed vaults and splendid Italian gardens. The building, which can be admired from via dei Condotti, is also the home of the Spanish Embassy and of the aristocratic “Circolo della Caccia”.
The absolute novelty of this edition will be the special exhibition inside the Palazzo della Cancelleria Apostolica, which houses the ancient tribunal of the Sacra Rota. The extra-territoriality of the Holy See is in force in the palace, since it is built on Vatican ground. Located in Piazza della Cancelleria 1 and overlooking Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, it houses a famous fresco by Vasari on the main floor.
The space of the Galleria of the Biblioteca Angelica, part of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, is very prestigious and it is conceived for single artist’s exhibitions. Opened in 1604, the Angelica library is regarded as being one of the first examples of a “public library” in Europe, together with the Ambrosian Library in Milan and the Bodleian Library in Oxford, and it is considered as one of the most important places in the European international culture. It is located in Piazza Sant’Agostino 8.
Located in the heart of Trastevere (Piazza Sant’Egidio 10), the very center of the Roman nightlife, Palazzo Velli Expo has a number of visitors per day that competes with the greatest museums of the city. Strategically placed in such a popular melting pot, the palace has been reconfirmed as the collateral location of the Triennial Exhibition of Visual Arts in Rome 2021.
Thanks to the contribution of Start, a leading company in the publishing and production sector, the 2021 Exhibition enjoys a prestigious network. Start creates a highly productive synergy, supporting the relationships with other corporate projects such as the Venice Biennale – in particular with the foreign pavilions produced over the past ten years – and with the Atlas of Contemporary Art published by De Agostini, the most authoritative publication of art and finance.
Mario Bernardinello is the new artistic director of the IV edition of the Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma. The theme of the exhibition is “Global Change”, and the current cultural, environmental and food changes will be discussed.
Both painting and sculpture will be dealt with, a single section has been conceived for the abstract and the figurative style respectively, and a vast area is dedicated to photography, installations and video art.
The great merit of the Start company is that it offered first-rate media coverage at the Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma, with the distribution of content on the most authoritative newspapers and on national and international sector specialized.
